Football Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Murs in Premier League Predictions

The Gunners' ten-match winning run was ended by the Black Cats before the international break, but will the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus AI, readers and a variety of special visitors.

In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

The singer's latest record, Knees Up, is out on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Life

Olly is a skilled soccer player as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of several charity football games down the years - but he is not planning a professional return as a player.

"{I recently played in a charity match the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "My side was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I still love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too risky for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."

Murs and his spouse his partner have a young family, their daughter and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their Saturday football team," he said.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is probably where I inherited it. He coached our side for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from injury but their offense is already stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this game will be fairly close, however. Burnley are well organised and their sole home defeats so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.

This suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to choose Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

The singer's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their previous couple matches - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they do look strong again.

West Ham's only on the road win this season came at Nottingham Forest in August, when West Ham manager Nuno was still that team's coach.

So, what exactly do I go with here - will it be the Hammers continuing their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I will go with Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

The guest's outlook: The home team are doing well but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the season started, but they have impressed a several people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four matches.

My son told me to select Bees forward Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

Thiago will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am still not going to pick him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.

They have not had great success on the road this season, and the Seagulls are consistently strong at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel the home manager's team carry much more of a danger.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

The singer's prediction: It could be a match where you think there is going to be a many goals but it actually turns out to be rather tight. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.

Fulham have got lots of quality in their squad but it still feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.

Regarding the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight campaign so far.

Their performance in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was superb. We have not witnessed anyone else disrupt the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing would be to back the visitors here, because they are obviously capable of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the end of October.

However I am not do that. Instead, I really need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they clearly enjoy to prove me wrong.

Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the only team they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Marco Silva's side will be absolutely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three much-needed points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

Olly's choice: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a bad streak... but they have nonetheless been respectable at home this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard fixture to predict. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 matches in every tournament, but could they be among the sides who benefit from the {international break|
