In late 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly a top aide to Donald Trump, was in the UK preparing for a address at the Oxford Union.

The event was interrupted by hundreds of protesters, and Bannon, scheduled to travel that evening, told Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Activists delayed my talk I doubt I can catch the flight we are heading to heathrow".

Epstein replied: "There. Is a Gulf Air departing at 9:50 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an amazing assistant".

These exchanges were published on Wednesday alongside over 20,000 documents from the estate of Epstein, the deceased financier convicted of sex crimes.

The release by the House oversight committee contains an text conversation where Bannon's name is redacted. Media outlets managed to establish his identity by cross-referencing the timeline, occurrences, and locations mentioned.

For instance, Epstein discusses chartering a plane from Scotland for the unnamed individual in the messages, and offers praise their "Oxford speech". Bannon took part in the News Xchange conference on 14 November, and delivered the talk at the Oxford Union two days later.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any misconduct, did not reply on the request for comment.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon was one of the president's key advisers in the run up to the presidential election and during the initial phase of his first administration, but resigned from the administration in 2017.

He has admitted he was making a film about Epstein prior to his passing and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of footage. In a recording of his podcast recently, he said: "We're going to release the film, the multi-part documentary, next year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed documents suggest Bannon's connection with Epstein extended than being his biographer, with the disgraced financier at times seeming to act like a personal assistant.

A few days before the conversation in which Epstein appeared to have booked a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein said: "what's it like to have the highest-paid travel agent in the world ".

Bannon thanked him: "U r pretty good asst", to which Epstein responded "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a visit to "Abu Dhabi" in a separate text, Epstein told Bannon: "I will ensure you're taken care of."

UK Politics Mentioned in Messages

The released communications also show Bannon and Epstein talking about British political matters in 2018.

Earlier on the day of his address at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the EU exit thing this morning with Farage, Boris and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a allusion to Theresa May, the embattled British leader at the time, he continued: "The guys are attempting to proceed. may soon…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "In my view remaining as long as you can in the UK. Ideal- so people get the dedication of your follow-up."

Soon after, Epstein inquired: "Can Theresa may remain in power". Bannon replied: "I don't see how BUT the guys over here have little courage" and added "Boris ; Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; Davis - someone has to take charge".

May was finally toppled in May 2019 after surviving multiple attempts of lack of support in late 2018.

A spokesman for the political party informed media: "Nigel Farage has not been in a gathering with Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter took place.

The US House of Representatives will decide next week on whether the justice department should make public all its files concerning its investigation into Epstein, who passed away in jail in 2019.

Attention in Epstein's associations with influential individuals was reignited recently after the publication of over 20,000 pages from his estate.
