The tenth week again delivered, with a huge upset for the Bills demonstrating the 'any given Sunday' mantra that attracts so many people into the NFL
That result may have opened things up for the Patriots to move back into a leading position they formerly held, with a schedule that provides them an edge over their 8-2 rivals
Meanwhile in the NFC the Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had ideal outcomes to set up a monster clash in week 11, while our top performer is pursuing milestones as well as the Most Valuable Player award
The Breakdown - Just a Bad Day for the Bills?
Was it just an emotional comedown from beating the Chiefs the previous week or a deeper issue? That's the question for the Bills to address
The Bills had won seven in a consecutive games against the Dolphins but were second best from the beginning as the Miami team ran out 30-13 winners in an eye-opening outcome - and performance
MVP quarterback Josh Allen only achieved the team's initial first down in the third period and first points in the final quarter - yes Miami had 10 days to get ready but it was still a significant failure produced by one of the league's top offences
Tua Tagovailoa threw two scores but running back Achane was the devastating difference, with 225 combined yards and two scores
Containing the league's best running game was crucial too, with Cook and company registering just 86 yards, their lowest of the year and slightly more than fifty percent their 161.5-yard average
Then there were the three critical turnovers, and the two from Allen in particular. An interception in the end zone resulting in a nine minute drive yielded no points, and his final quarter dropped ball that the Dolphins converted to a touchdown just two plays
It was typical 'previous Bills teams' as they shot themselves in the foot, getting into a deficit on defense and Allen attempting to do too much to dig his team from the situation - rather than the calm, controlled, balanced Buffalo team we've seen this season
The Dolphins have demonstrated a varied performances this year so the verdict is uncertain on if this is the beginning of something, but for the Bills they'll require an instant response in a tough game against Tampa Bay next week as the New England are quietly moving into a nice lead at the summit of the AFC East
Spotlight - New England See Path to Surprise Top Seed
Speaking of the New England, they're one of three different 8-2 squads in the league, all American Football Conference sides, but are they the best?
One could find flaws in New England, the Broncos and Indianapolis really for dominating the lesser sides, with only five of their combined 24 victories coming against opponents with a winning record - and one of those was the Colts defeating the Broncos
The Broncos defeated the champion Eagles in Philadelphia and are kings of the fourth-quarter while Indianapolis can rely on Taylor, but the New England including Sunday's win in Tampa to their prime time success in Buffalo appears to be a declaration
Their pair of losses occurred in recently appointed coach Mike Vrabel's first three contests, with seven straight victories, just like Denver, from that point - but taking down Mayfield after the Buccaneers had a bye to prepare was huge
Maye's Most Valuable Player credentials won't go away, and he definitely earns credit for courage after taking some savage hits in Tampa Bay but hanging in there to steer his team to victory
The defense is reliable and first-year running back Henderson burst onto the scene on Sunday with 147 rushing yards and two exciting scores of 55 and 69 yards - establishing himself as just the fifth different ball carrier to break 22mph this year on his initial touchdown
Although you can debate who 'the top team' is statistically, the Patriots should be favourites to finish with the top record thanks to their remaining opponents - which features just a single matchup against a winning team, albeit a significant contest against Buffalo
Traveling to Baltimore is challenging too, but the Broncos have it even tougher in the AFC West with the Kansas City to play twice, the Los Angeles Chargers (who might also challenge for top seed but face the same problem) and additionally the Green Bay on the schedule
The Colts also face the Chiefs, and have the Seattle, 49ers and two matchups with the five and four Jacksonville to face. There is a long way to travel but the door is available for a surprise number one position in the AFC
Coming Up - Rams & Seahawks Prepare for Week 11 Showdown
Both squads with solid claims to be better than all of the three 8-2 teams are NFC West opponents the Seahawks and Los Angeles, who each put up forty points to reach 7-2 ahead of the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster game between the pair in LA
They've both secured four victories in a row, have signal callers in Stafford and Darnold performing at an high standard (although Darnold had turnover issues on Sunday) with excellent pass catchers, and defenses allowing under 20 points a game
Both could realistically be without a loss as well - especially the Rams as their two defeats occurred in extra time against the San Francisco and then that agonising loss in Philly when they had a potentially winning field goal with the last kick deflected and run back by the Philadelphia for a score
Seattle also lost to San Francisco, with a last-minute score in the opening week, before losing to the last kick of the contest against the Tampa Bay - so they are genuinely among the best sides in the league
The next matchup on Sunday could be the best of the year so far
Player of the Week - Jonathan Taylor
Taylor could be on for a historic year after his remarkable performance in Berlin - running for 244 rushing yards, scoring three scores and contributing an additional 42 {receiving yards
