Beloved Performer Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Known For Parts in Seinfeld and The Middle, Passes Away at Age 60.

US performer Finn, who was seen in popular TV shows like Friends, Seinfeld and The Middle, has died aged 60.

The comedic improv actor died at home in LA recently following cancer treatment beginning in 2022, according to media reports.

"He never met a stranger - solely future friends he hadn't encountered," his family shared in a message.

They continued that he had "lived his life fully - with happiness and energy".

A Notable Career on Screen

His debut TV appearance was on a show starring George Wendt in the mid-90s, where he appeared as the lead character's sibling.

He subsequently landed a repeating character on "Murphy Brown" in the latter half of the 1990s.

He appeared as a party host named Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, depicting a social organizer who would assign burdensome jobs to his guests.

Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, he appeared as a guest star on several hit series, including:

  • The King of Queens
  • Friends
  • That '70s Show
  • House

Finn was perhaps best known for his portrayal of Bill Norwood in "The Middle", starring in eight seasons of the show over nearly a decade.

His cinematic roles encompass It's Complicated (2009) and "Santa Paws 2".

Beyond the Screen

Away from his on-screen roles, Finn was a skilled improviser and served as an educator at the Colorado university, where he was a professor.

He was involved with a comedy group of six called Beer Shark Mice.

"Pat taught, supported, and inspired many learners during his career and it's nearly impossible to find anyone anywhere who has anything negative to say about him," his relatives stated.

In a tribute, fellow actor Richard Kind noted there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, authentic human being you could encounter".

"Consistently upbeat, making those around him better and funnier. A great dad, a great guy," he shared online.

Finn is leaves behind his partner Donna, his children, and his family.
